Light roasts are denser and extract slower, requiring a finer grind size and higher water temperatures (205°F–208°F) to unlock vibrant floral notes. Dark roasts are more porous and extract rapidly, so grind slightly coarser with cooler water (195°F–200°F) to prevent harsh bitterness. Medium roasts perform best with a balanced medium-fine grind at 200°F.
